PwC: Russian business to increase cybersecurity spending in 2022
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) – The number of Russian companies that think that cybersecurity costs will rise in 2022 increased by 13 percentage points to 65%, PwC said in a research on Tuesday.
“The poll demonstrates approximately equal interest in investment in cybersecurity in the world and in Russia. On the global scale, this indicator increased from 55% last year to 69%,” PwC said.
Vitaly Sokolov, head for cybersecurity services provision at PwC, said that companies all over the world understand that cyber risks are rising. “Hasn’t the modern business world become too complicated for protection? About 75% of the participants of our poll think so (61% in Russia),” he said.
According to the global respondents, the number of attacks on cloud services will soar by 22% and ransomware and cryptocurrency mining by 21%.
